Fees
The taker pays one fee, on the SOL leg of the fill. The maker pays nothing. A taker holding $OPOL pays less.
| $OPOL in the taker's wallet at fill time | Taker fee |
|---|---|
| none, or under 250,000 | 0.30% |
| 250,000 or more | 0.20% |
| 1,000,000 or more | 0.10% |
How the tier is decided
When you take an offer, the desk reads the $OPOL balance of the wallet taking it from the Solana chain, at that moment. The Take ticket shows your tier and the fee in SOL before you sign, with the time the balance was read.
The desk reads the balance again when it signs the fill, and charges the tier it reads then. If your balance fell in between and the fee would be higher than the ticket showed, the desk refuses the fill and nothing moves; review the ticket again. A figure sent by your browser is never used.
Makers pay no fee, whatever they hold. The fee goes to the Offpool treasury, listed in Docs.
What $OPOL is not
A lower fee is the only thing holding $OPOL changes on Offpool. It gives no share of the fees, no rights and no return of any kind, and it can lose all of its value. Nothing here is advice to buy it. See $OPOL in Docs.
